1. Morph.ai Overview

Morph.ai platform enables you to use WhatsApp Business Account for any of the following use-cases:

2. Understanding WhatsApp Business API Account

Below is the list of everything you need to know about WhatsApp Business API (WABA) accounts:

  1. WhatsApp Business API is different from WhatsApp Business App.
  2. Every brand needs to get approval from WhatsApp to start using WhatsApp Business APIs.
  3. Getting access to WhatsApp Business API Account is different from getting a Green-Tick ( ✅) on your WhatsApp profile.
  4. There are two types of messages:
    1. Session Messages:
      1. Any message which is sent within 24 hours from the last customer's message.
      2. When the customer replies again then the 24 hours window resets.
      3. You can send any nature of messages - promotional, transactional, conversational, etc.
    2. Notifications / Post Session Messages:
      1. Any message which is sent after 24 hrs from the last customer's message. That's why they are also called notification messages.
      2. WhatsApp charges brand for these messages.
      3. Only messages of transactional nature are allowed.
  5. Reply & Notification Messages have different ways to start a conversation with any user and supported content types.
  6. You can customize following in your WhatsApp Busines API Account profile: Image, Description, Address, Email, Website, About.

3. Set Up Your Account

 As WhatsApp manually approves every Business API Account, it can take time before you get access on your own number. Getting access can take 10 to 20 days. Therefore, we have created a sandbox (trial) WhatsApp number for you to use till you get access on your own number.

Please follow the steps on the platform to set up a sandbox/trial number. You can use the sandbox/trial number to

  • try the Morph.ai platform
  • create and test bot/notification to launch as-soon-as you get the access on your own number


4. Next Steps

Next, there are two things that you will have to do in parallel:

  1. WhatsApp Business API Access: Apply to get WhatsApp Business API access on your own number. You can fill the application for the same on the platform. Please fill the application ASAP, as WhatsApp can take 10-20 days to approve your application. Learn more
